join us for mission week July 14 - 20, 2019

It is a week chock full of activities which you can see below and which you choose your area of service on particular days.  There are daytime and evening activities to allow for greater participation.  Sign ups for activities begin on Sunday, June 30th, so have will have an opportunity to select the activities you would like to be a part of.

Mission week activities

Why do we have Mission Week?  Well it is not about us, but rather about what God has done for us and we are able to spread God's love and share the good news of salvation.

  • Kick-Off Brunch Sunday July 14th

Take a look at our Mission Edition Reporter for a listing of all the activities for Mission week.  Bring your favorite dish to share; there is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex to help see menu suggestions and what is already being provided.  Come on Sunday for food and fellowship in-between worship services.   Wear your Hope or Mission Week T-shirts to church on Sunday for our Mission Week pep rally!  Contact Dorothee Jones if you need a shirt!

  • Bring GreetinG CardS FOR A  recycling activity

Are you looking for some way to recycle those beautiful greeting
cards you have received? We have an idea for you: cut off the fronts
of the cards and bring them to church! The Outreach Committee has
a couple of activities for Mission Week (July 14—20) which could
make use of the card fronts. Yes, we can use Christmas card fronts, too! So, start collecting those greeting card fronts and place them in Hope’s collection box in the narthex.

  • Love offerings for our global missionaries on Sunday, July 14th

    Love Offering #1
We will be taking a special offering to support our missionaries.  We support Pastor Jacob Gaugert who serves the Lord as a career missionary through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in Togo, West Africa.
    Love Offering #2
Peter and Lucy Hoffmann are missionaries in the Czech Republic. The
Hoffmanns carry the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of this country as they teach English as a foreign language to them.
